Wales Animal Health and Welfare Framework Group

Appointment of 2 Members

Remuneration at £92 per day plus expenses for approximately 20 days a year. 

The Wales Animal Health and Welfare Framework Group was set up in 2014 to support the implementation of the Wales Animal Health and Welfare Framework. This sets out our plan for continuing and lasting improvements in standards of animal health and welfare for kept animals, helping to protect public health and  making a contribution to the economy and the environment.

We are seeking to recruit two members who will be publically appointed to the Group. In total the time commitment will be approximately 20 days per year. Members of the Wales Animal Health and Welfare Framework Group are expected to be available to attend 4 meetings a year plus 1 day preparation. It is likely there will also be demand led days. It is estimated this could equate to an extra 12 days per year.

Meetings are held on a quarterly basis, usually in Cardiff. There may be occasions when meetings are required elsewhere in Wales .
